Serrapeptase for Headaches

People who suffer the dumb, or, sharp pain of regular headaches, may be able to find relief with serrapeptase, a natural anti-inflammatory enzyme, originated from the silkworm.

Headaches can be utterly disruptive and so debilitating, they can be interfere with your day to day routine, making even the simplest chores difficult to carry out. And a migraine headache is even more insufferable! Migraines come with a number of symptoms in addition to the pain which include nausea, vomiting, and sensations of lights flashing.

Regulating Inflammation May Be the Key to Living Pain Free

Inflammation is an integral part of our body’s response to invasion of organisms. On one hand inflammation allows the body to fight of harmful organisms that end up in our bodies, yet too much of the same inflammation can be detrimental to our health.

In fact it has been found that swelling due to inflammation has a major negative impact on brain health leading to diseases like Alzheimer’s.

Furthermore, inflammation can lead to arthritis and joint pain, be a precursor of inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease, ear, nose and throat disorders and many other ailments. In fact, serrapeptase may help people with cancer, because the disease has also been linked to inflammation.

Serrapeptase Helps Regulate Inflammation

Serrapeptase is a naturally occurring fibrinolytic enzyme that decreases inflammation in the body, eats away dead tissue (not living tissues) and prevents ‘over clotting’ in the blood. It is also known to consume scar tissue and fibrin, thereby dissolving blockages and improving heart health.

Being a natural agent, it lacks the gastrointestinal side effects so commonly associated with harmful NSAIDS (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), making serrapeptase a safer alternative. When the inflammation is reduced, one’s headache is dramatically reduced.

While the enzyme is classified as a supplement in the United States, it has a long history in Europe and especially Asia, where it has been used for natural healing processes.

Only in more recent years, has the word spread about the benefits of serrapeptase and is now helping thousands of people, including myself to find pain relief, from a multitude of symptoms.

I personally use serratiopeptidase along with another fibrinolytic enzyme, nattokinase, because I suffer greatly with blood circulation problems.

I was hospitalized for four months in December 2003, after a near fatal car wreck. Whilst there I secured a nasty DVT (blood clot), which has left me with lifelong problems.

My symptoms are so severe, that although I use natural treatments every day, my veins are so bad in my legs, that if I stop using ‘blood cleaning’ supplements, I fear my doctor would push me to take life long anti-coagulants, such as warfarin (which I am not prepared to do!)

When Should You Take Serrapeptase?

It is recommended that serrapeptase be consumed on an empty stomach for it to do its job efficiently.

If it is taken with food, being an enzyme, its concentration would be more on digesting the food. But on an empty stomach, and because it is enteric coated, the enzyme by passes the stomach and is absorbed in the gut.

From here, it ends up in the bloodstream and is able to circulate throughout the body breaking down the elements that give rise to inflammation causing chronic migraines and head aches.
